We left wednesdayafternoon to a small village at the other side of the bay. The people that live
there have lack of everything: food, good housing, clothes and fresh water. There were a
small church and schoool, but they were destroyed by a cyclone.
There is no road to get there: the only way is by ship.
As we arrived, everyone was very happy. We met some people from the village as Heidi showed us around.
A small girl was very sick because of malaria.
Heidi prayed for her and she was healed immediately!
We had a churchservice at the beach and Heidi promised to rebuild the school and church. We also had clothes
for the villagers.
That night we slept with 18 people at the ship. The best place was outside at the upperdeck:
a 1000-star-hotel!
The following day we left to the ocean and we started to explore a small river and bay.
Suddenly we met a fisherboat with friendly people. Their outboardengine (buitenboordmotor)
had been broken. We were able to repair the engine by giving us our own sparkplugs (bougies).
Heidi and some Mozambiquan boys from our team were invited to the village.
They returned after 2 hours. They had shared the Gospel and more than 100 people accepted Jesus as Saviour.
They had never heard about the Gospel before. They also agreed in building a church in the village.
Next week we will go back with students from the Bibleschool to these 2 villages with buildingsupplies to
build up a church and restore the church and school in the first village.
Heidi shared that she never had seen a village so open for the Gospel during all her 18 years in Mozambique.
