Trip to Nacala; adventure at tropical Island

We friday left erarly in the morning and had a good trip.
All went well,. Finallly we arived at a beuatifull island to anchor for rest saturday afternoon.
A beuatful place without people.
We made a trip with our dinky to the island. The waves were so big and the beach so steap that we could not get on it. But it was beuatiful to see.
We did our maintenance after the trip and cooked a good meal.
Ton and Rob made a jump from the topdeck into the ocean.
What a rest!
Than suddenly....
Our generator broke down. No power.
We also discovered that our batteries were fllat (lege accu's). Therefore our sparegenerator didn't start. What to do now...... Being at an island without people, no radiocontact, no celllphonecontact.
We succeeded to start one of our main-engines with the last power. So: anchor up and go. Back to the coast and see if we can start the second engine. And yes this worked after some tiime.
A whole new trip, duriing the night without light and radar. Hapilly the sea was calm and we had a clear moon. We worked with torches. Sunday afternoon we arrived safe in Nacala. Irisministries brought from Pemba a small generator. We are charging our batteries now. Hopefully we can start the sparegenerator later. We keep you updated

Wat een avontuur man. Het is de hele reis nu al spannend. Geweldig dat jullie Nacala gehaald hebben.
Is er wat aan de hand met de acculader, omdat de accu's niet bijgeladen worden?

Het is wel een reis vol verrassingen! De onderbrekingen zijn niet te plannen. Goed dat jullie er steeds weer uit komen en zo zal het zijn. He is in control !

Hallo Ton en de anderen, 't Jonge wat een tocht! Gezwommen in de zee. Heerlijk! Wat een leuke foto's! En dan grote problemen met de stroom! Toch is alles goed gekomen. Veilig in Nacala. God houd jullie in de gaten en heeft alles in zijn hand! Gods zegen ook met dit laatste stuk! -
